Impetigo
Adults and children aged 1 year and over.
Impetigo is a contagious skin condition, but it is not usually serious. It’s more common in young children but anyone can get it. Impetigo starts with red sores or blisters but is often harder to see on black or brown skin.
- Itchy and/or painful sores or blisters on the arms, legs or face, particularly around the nose or mouth
- When the sores burst they leave crusts on the skin that can look like cornflakes
- High temperature
- Swollen glands
